Sonoma author Freed has ‘Last Laugh’

Writer will present story of ‘mad old bags’ this Thursday at Readers’ Books|

Sonoma writer Lynn Freed’s latest book, “The Last Laugh,” is the story of three “mad old bags,” as they’re described, who decide to vacation together on a Greek island to get away from their kids and grandkids and day-to-day entanglements.

According to Readers’ Books, it’s a “serious and silly look at women on the edge of old-age, celebrating lifelong friendship, family, work and play.”

Freed will be at Readers’ on Thursday, July 13 to read from “The Last Laugh” and sign copies. Readers’ is at 130 E. Napa St.
