FFA students fundraising for trip to national conference|

Local Future Farmers of America are going national – at least that’s the hope of Sonoma Valley High School FFA students who, for the first time in a long while, have an opportunity to attend the this October’s National FFA Conference in Indianapolis.

The Oct. 25 conference will be an “educational, motivational and inspirational opportunity to increase knowledge of agriculture and further develop their leadership skills,” according to organizers of the event.

In order for all nine of the SVHS FFA students to raise the $1,500 each to attend this event, the kids are holding a “Huge Yard Sale” on Saturday, July 15. The 8 a.m. to noon sale takes place in the Sonoma Valley High School bus loop.

The community is invited to visit, shop or just make a donation.
