VFW seeks ‘Bad Ass Car Show’ entries

Organizers expect 150 hot rods, muscle cars|

The Veterans of Foreign Wars Bear Flag Post 1943 is now accepting registrations for the sixth annual All American Bad Ass Car Show to be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, at the Sonoma Veterans War Memorial grounds, 126 First St. W.

One-hundred-fifty hot rods and muscle cars are expected to be on display at the show, which is free to the viewing public. All entrant vehicles must be American-made, 1973 or older. Motorcycles can be new, but must be built in the USA.

Pre-registration is now open until Aug. 31st at a cost of $35 per vehicle. After Aug. 31, registration will be $45 on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Music will play all day, with food, beer, soft drinks, vendors, and kids games on site. Trophies will be presented in five categories peculiar to the show. The now-popular Ladies Spark Plug Changing Contest is on tap and winners will receive trophies. Also included will be a Girl Scout pancake breakfast, raffles, and a silent auction.

All proceeds go to support Bear Flag Post 1943 programs and veterans in need.
