Buena Vista winery and Jean-Charles Boisset will take you dancing into the Roaring Twenties as the entire winery turns into a 1920s destination on Saturday, July 1, all to raise $100,000 for research into Huntington’s disease.

Boisset became aware of this medical condition and need through his vineyard manager, Vic Aul, whose wife, Kim, was diagnosed with Huntington’s about a year and a half ago. According to her statement, the disease causes “progressive brain damage, similar to Parkinson’s Alzheimer’s and ALS that will render me unable to walk, talk and reason.”

Boisset and a leading neurological researcher, Dr. Laurice Yang of Stanford, will be the honorees of the evening.

Returning from France, Executive Chef Victor Scargle will prepare a menu of a duo of Atelier (Boisset’s) greens and summer melon, and a sweet corn soup served with 2014 Carneros Chardonnay, followed by a Napa lamb T-bone and sweetbreads with summer squash, blistered tomatoes, roosted shallots, fennel confit, and marble potatoes with 2013 Carneros Pinot Noir, followed by a peach crostada with cinnamon Chantilly and bittersweet chocolate “jus.” $225. 6 to 10 p.m. 18000 Old Winery Road, Sonoma. Tickets at: bit.ly/HDSAGala.
