Start a new tradition, or continue one with a holiday hike on Memorial Day, May 29, at Jack London State Historic Park. Enjoy relaxed conversation and compatible company at a holiday hike of moderate pace and length.

Rusty Sims will lead the group on this free hike on some of the best trails in the park, a loop that includes Upper Fallen Bridge Trail, a visit to the Ancient Redwood, and a return along Quarry Trail.

The hike runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through the lunch hour, so bring a lunch or snack along with water, Dress in your seasonal hiking shoes and wear layers appropriate for weather; consider trekking poles, sunscreen and bug repellant.

Meet in the Ranch parking lot – regular parking fee applies, $10 at the gate. Even though it’s free the park asks that you pre-register online at jacklondonpark.com/memorial-day-hike.html
