Free art classes at Art Escape Sonoma

Art Escape has several great classes coming up for all ages... and they are FREE!|

Art Escape Sonoma is offering a free bilingual family art workshops, as well as a series of free art classes for all ages.

“Come with your family and have fun creating art together,” says instructor Yessenia Anguiano. Art experience is not necessary for the family workshop. For parents and children, knowledge of Spanish not required.

The bilingual art classes run every Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. through June 4, except Easter and Mother’s Day.

Registration closes three days before the class start date.

Yessenia Anguiano is a longtime resident of Sonoma and has worked in special education for almost a decade. She specializes in teaching art at all levels of development and ability.

Art Escape, in partnership with Plein Art Foundation, is also offering free art classes for children in first through sixth grade on Fridays from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. Each week, students experience a specific medium or technique. These classes run April 7 through May 12.

There are also a handful of spots for teens still available in the series of free maquette sculpture classes on Fridays beginning April 7. Teens will learn how to design and sculpt the sculptures used in the gaming and 3D animation world.

The free workshop, which is taught by a professional 3D artists, takes place over three sessions.
