The Sonoma Valley Museum of Art is offering an array of studio art classes and programs through the winter in support of its new exhibits, 'Eye of the Beholder: The Sculpture and Early Prints of Nathan Oliveira' and 'Graphic Knowledge: The Prints of Karl Kasten.'

Sundays, Feb 5 and 12, 1 to 4 p.m.

Studio Session: Poetic Prints (adults)

A two-day exploration of poetry and printmaking with guest poet Indigo Moor.

Fee: $90 | $82

Wednesdays, Feb. 1 through 22, 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.

Studio class: Art For Littles, ages 5 and 6

Offered every Wednesday in February, this class is designed to develop budding artists' talents in all areas from their technical abilities and familiarity with art media to learning about and putting to use the elements of art and design.

Fee: $100 | $90 for the series (Feb 1, 8, 15, 22)

Saturday, March 4, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Ceramic Figurative Sculpture (adults)

Instructor Dianne Aoki will examine the materials and processes for sculpting figures using a live model. Investigating clay sculpture techniques, tool use and observations of anatomy, each participating sculptor will explore their own individual style.

Saturday, March 11, 9 a.m. to noon

Clay in Action, ages 9 and up

Instructor Dianne Aoki will lead a workshop integrating clay sculpting with imagination and contemporary action figure influences.
