Kenwood gazebo dedication Saturday

The Sonoma County Regional Parks Foundation will dedicate a new gazebo at Kenwood Plaza Park at noon Saturday, Sept. 20.

The gazebo was built in memory of Bobby Musser-Kirby, a 5-year-old Kenwood resident who was killed in 2009 when a tree fell on his family’s car. Kenwood Plaza Park is located at 200 Warm Springs Rd. in Kenwood.

Speakers at the dedication will include 1st District Supervisor Susan Gorin; Regional Parks operations manager Bert Whitaker; gazebo designer Don MacNair; and Warren Musser, grandfather of Bobby Musser-Kirby.

The dedication will be followed by Jazz, Blues and Barbecue in the Park, with funds raised to benefit ongoing improvements at Kenwood Plaza Park, as well as support other Sonoma County Regional Parks. Details and tickets can be found online at brownpapertickets.com/event/793222.
