Jewish Winemakers show their stuff at Tasting and Nosh

Also known as “Kugels, Knishes and Cabernet,” Wine Country’s Jewish vintners will celebrate and share their heritage at the fourth annual Jewish Winemakers Tasting and Nosh. Hosted by Congregation Shir Shalom, tickets are on sale now for the Sunday, Oct. 27, event.

Taking place at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m., local wines will be paired with classic Jewish foods. Live music will be provided by Stephanie Ozer, a Brazilian pianist, as well as the band Shameless.

Participating wineries include B.R. Cohn Winery, Blue Rock Winery, Cline Cellars, Coho Wines, Della Santina Wines,  Honig Vineyard and Winery, Hagafen Cellars, Hobo Wine Company, Idell Family Winery, Judd’s Hill Winery, Leto Cellars, Longboard Vineyards, Orpheus Wines, Paint Horse Winery, Singer Cellars, Stein Family Vineyards, Tres Hijas Vineyards and Kamen Estate Wines.

Tickets are $45 in advance, and available at Readers’ Books and Tiddle E. Winks, or online at shir-shalom.org/winemakers. Tickets are $50 at the door. All proceeds will benefit education programs at Congregation Shir Shalom.

The Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building is located in Sonoma at 126 First St. W.
