Jacklyn Kim Day

Jacklyn Kim Day passed away at her home in Santa Rosa on July 14, 2014, at age 58. Jackie was born on March 30, 1956, in Reno, Neveda, and had spent her last 43 years in Sonoma County.

She worked as a CPA for more than 25 years. She was a lover of dogs and animals, and served on the audit committee for Canine Companions for Independence. She had a therapy dog that provided affection and comfort to people in hospitals and nursing homes. Jackie always relished soothing the pain of others.

She was a loving mother and is survived by her two sons, Anthony DeMartini and Eric Golant; her sisters, Terry (Ted) Kruth, Mickey (Greg) Evans; and an expectant grandchild this December.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Canine Companions.

A celebration of her life with a reception will take place at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at Eggen and Lance Chapel, 1540 Mendocino Ave., in Santa Rosa.
