Homecoming hits Sonoma

It’s Homecoming week for Sonoma Valley High School, which will be celebrated with a parade, football games and traditional dance this weekend.

The festivities kick off today, Friday, Oct. 18, beginning with a parade of Pixar-themed floats, which will leave Sonoma Valley High School at 1 p.m., roll up Broadway and loop the Plaza before heading back to the school. On Friday night, the Dragons will play the Healdsburg Greyhounds, with the JV team hitting Arnold Field at 5 p.m. followed by the varsity at 7:30 p.m.

During halftime at the varsity game, the school will name its Homecoming King and Queen.

The weekend wraps up with the Homecoming Dance Saturday night at the school. To prepare, last Sunday dozens of students helped out in a campus-wide cleanup.
