Herbert Werner Malchow

Our dear father, Herbert Werner Malchow, passed at his home on Saturday, Jan. 4, 2014, with his daughter and son at his side. He left us to rejoin his beloved wife, Delberta; his brothers, William and Bruno; as well as many family and friends awaiting his arrival.

Herb was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, and upon his return, he began his family and a distinguished career with the California Highway Patrol. He was a hardworking man of many talents. He will be greatly missed, but not forgotten.

Herb leaves behind daughter, Kelly; son, Randall (Janice); granddaughter, Kasey (James); and a very special caregiver, Alisi; and many family members and friends.

At Herb’s request, there will be no services at this time. However, a celebration of life for Herb and Delberta is being planned for a date yet to be announced. Private inurnment at Sonoma Veterans Memorial Park will be held.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Hospice By The Bay Foundation in Herb’s name.
