Helen Laura Stimac

Helen Laura Stimac, 77, passed away peacefully surrounded by family and many friends on October 2, 2014 in Sonoma, CA after a long and courageous battle with breast cancer.

Helen was born on Oct. 10, 1936 to Caroline and Anton Stimac in East Brady, PA and grew up with 11 siblings. She came to the Bay Area as a flight attendant with United Airlines in 1962 and lived in Marin County, San Francisco, Bozeman, MT, and moved to Sonoma where she retired after 42 years with the airline. Helen loved travelling and the outdoors. Her passions were skiing, biking, fishing, golf, tennis and hiking. She was a volunteer with F.I.S.H., Vintage House and a staunch supporter of Pets Lifeline.

Helen is survived by her siblings Joe, Ann, John, Edward, Dorothy and Diana and many nieces and nephews in Pennsylvania and Ohio, as well as many very dear friends in Sonoma. Her remains will be returned to Ohio for final services.
