Halloween parties abound in Sonoma Valley

Annex Wine Bar has the “Early Halloween Party” tonight, kicking off at 6:30 p.m. with Mistress Lynne and her Fiendish Friends, followed by a showing of the “Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Meatloaf will be served and there will be prizes for costumes. There is no cover but the venue is 21 and over only.

Rossi’s 1906 in El Verano presents Lee Presson and the Nails for a party tonight that includes a costume contest, tarot card reader, a photo booth, a hog roast and more. The party goes off at 7 p.m. and tickets will be available at the door.

Yoga Community is presenting, at The Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club, a Bollywood Halloween party with DJ Dragonfly tonight, kicking off at 7 p.m. Bollywoood attire is encouraged. This is an alcohol-free, all ages event, though children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets will be available at the door.

The El Verano Inn has the annual Halloween party with Ten Foot Tone tonight and this year the theme is disco. Prizes will be awarded for the best costume. The evening kicks off at 9 p.m. and opening the night will be Acoustic Soul.

T-Luke and the Tight Suits will be at the Blue Moon Saloon for a Halloween party tonight that also includes prizes for the best costume. The party starts at 9:30 p.m.

The Eric K. James tasting room has a Halloween party tonight with the Left Coast Syncopators Quartet, kicking off at 7 p.m.

Burgers and Vine presents DJ Lionize for a Halloween party tonight, with cash prizes for the best costume. Party starts at 9:30 p.m. and there is no cover.

Murphy’s Irish Pub presents Cynthia Carr and the Carrtunes tonight, for a Halloween party that kicks off at 7 p.m. This is a family-friendly event with games, costume contest and candy for the children.

The Sonoma Valley Regional Library is presenting Dia de los Muertos celebration on Saturday, Nov. 1, with a variety of performers, starting at 11 a.m. The day kicks off with drumming invocation to honor ancestors followed by flamenco guitar with Mark Abdilla, then a tango dance performance with Tango Petaluma, and the day wraps up with Latin rhythms with the Carlos Herrera Band, starting at 2:15 p.m. The event is family friendly and there is no charge for entry.

Yoga Community is presenting a series of events this weekend, in addition to the Bollywood party mentioned above. On Saturday, Nov. 1, it’s a performance by Jai Uttal at the Sonoma Valley Woman’s Club. Uttal is a Grammy nominated pioneer in the world music community. His eclectic east-meets-west sound has put his music at the forefront of the world fusion movement. Jai Uttal’s musical roots embrace a rich variety of cultures and traditions that span the globe and the centuries. Showtime is 8 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the door. Sunday, Nov. 2, the celebration continues at the Yoga Community with DASI Karnamrita. Classically trained as a vocalist in India for nearly a decade and immersed in kirtan music since birth, Karnamrita Dasi is one of the world’s leading kirtan singers as well as the first female Westerner to be classically trained in this sacred art. Showtime is at 6:30 p.m. and tickets can be purchased at the door.

Burgers and Vine presents the debut performance of Death by Cowbell on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 9:30 p.m. The act will be playing hits that feature the cowbell and many that should have.

HopMonk Tavern Sonoma has Dave Hamilton playing folk and country on the beer garden stage today, Oct. 31, for a 5 p.m. show. Later on the tavern stage, it’s the No Buenos laying down blues and original music at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov 1, the tavern stage welcomes Sean Carscadden playing Americana, blues and more, for an 8:30 p.m. show.

The Plaza Bistro presents the Randy Vincent Trio, tonight, Oct. 31, for a 7 p.m. show. There is no cover for the show.

The Epicurean Connection presents Sally Haggard tonight, Oct. 31, kicking off at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, it’s Cowpunk, also for a 7:30 p.m. show. Sunday, Nov. 2, it’s an early start for Lindalou and Michael. Showtime is at 1 p.m..

Murphy’s Irish Pub presents Andrew Freeman Saturday, Nov. 1, kicking off at 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, it’s the Stadler Gibbons Band, kicking off at 7 p.m.

The Blue Moon Saloon has karaoke on Saturday, Nov. 1, starting at 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, the saloon presents the continuation of the blues jam, starting at 9:30 p.m. There is no cover.

Stephanie Ozer is on the road this weekend, tonight, Oct. 31 at Empire in Napa for a 10:30 p.m. show. Saturday, Nov. 1, Ozer will be at the Hotel Healdsburg in Healdsburg for a 6:30 p.m. show.
