Hal C. Dauernheim

Hal C. Dauernheim, 85, passed away peacefully while sleeping with family by his side on Nov. 5, 2013, in Sonoma. Hal was born on Dec. 10, 1927, in St Louis, Mo., and raised by Charles and Celeste Dauernheim. He married Ruth Evelyn Waehner on Feb. 27, 1953. He will always be remembered as a loving, caring, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, veteran and best friend.

May he rest in peace with the love of his life to who he was married for 53 years, Ruth E. Dauernheim, who passed away in 2006.

Hal and Ruth are survived by four children, Kris, Kirk, Lin and Larri; three granddaughters, Jamie, Brooke and Lexi; and one great-grandson, Arlen. Hal and Ruth’s family and friends will continue to love and think of them forever by always keeping them in their thoughts and hearts. They miss them dearly.

Friends are invited to attend a graveside inurnment at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29, 2013, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA 95620. It is at this service where Hal and Ruth will be laid to rest next to each other and Hal will receive military honors.

His family and friends had a celebration of his life on Sunday, Nov. 10, 2013.  Stories and wonderful memories of his life were shared by those in attendance.
