Guardian dogs will keep lions away

Livestock guardian dogs are the best method to protect sheep and encourage mountain lions to look elsewhere for their prey. We have raised Maremma LGD’s for seven years, and in an area of Sonoma Mountain Road where the lions, coyotes and even stray dogs can be known to kill livestock.

We have never had a loss at Brookfarm Alpacas in the Valley of the Moon. We sleep well at night knowing that our livestock are protected. The dogs are very loving, and partners to us in our livestock business. We no longer breed Maremmas, but there are many other LGD breeds available if one starts searching online.
