The spring-like temperatures lately have vineyard workers pruning vines under blue skies instead of fighting the elements. But the state does need rain for the grapes to prosper this summer. Weather forecasts have a 30 percent chance of rain next Friday, Jan. 31, but that’s about the best forecasters can do.
