Grace Margaret Borg, 99, passed away Oct. 22, 2013, in Hayward. She was just 6 months shy of her 100th birthday.

She was born in Mosta, Malta, on April 6, 1914. She was married to Tony Borg who is deceased; and also a sister to her only brother Carmelo Calleja, also deceased.  Grace enjoyed life to the fullest and she loved to travel.

She leaves behind many nieces and nephews, and she will greatly be missed by her niece, Doris Scarborough, who she raised and who took care of her at her home in Hayward for the past year. On behalf of the family, we would like to thank everyone who supported her during her life.

Family and friends are invited to visitation on Tuesday, Oct. 29, at noon, followed by a rosary at 6 p.m. at Duggan’s Mission Chapel. A funeral Mass will be said on Wednesday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. at St. Francis Solano Catholic Church, 469 Third St. W., Sonoma. There will be a reception following at the Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building, right next to the cemetery. Donations can be made to Vita’s Innovative Hospice Care, 670 N.
