Getting works published

Local author, instructor, natural scientist and publisher, Rebecca Lawton will present “Publishing 101: Finding Your Path to Publishing,” at 6 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, at the Sonoma Valley Regional Library.

Lawton will facilitate this workshop on finding one’s own path to publishing, starting with how to pitch to agents and editors and culminating with the decision to publish on your own and how to do it. Lawton has published books with small and large presses, through her agent’s original line of e-books, and through her own press (Wavegirl Books). Each experience has been unique and full of surprises.

This program is free and open to the public. The library is located at 755 W. Napa St. For more information, contact Lisa Musgrove at lmusgrove@sonoma.lib.ca.us. Keep up with events at the library by following on facebook at facebook.com/SonomaValleyLibrary.
