Garden Club plant sale set

The Valley of the Moon Garden Club will hold its annual “Spring Plant Sale” from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 3, at the Sonoma Community Center, at 276 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

The plant sale is a community favorite because of the great variety of plants and discount prices.

The new venue has more room for the huge selection of plants being offered. Being mindful of water usage during this drought year, the emphasis will be on water-wise or drought-tolerant plants.

Members have been busy preparing a variety of succulents, grasses, herbs, vegetable starts, and perennials for this event.

Experienced gardeners will be on hand to answer your questions.

The VIP guest of honor will be lifetime member, Rosemarie Indelicato, the 98-year-old garden wizard. She has been the host to past Garden Club sales with her garden of flowering cactus and vibrant poppies, inspiring all levels of gardeners throughout the years.
