Fashion in the Vineyards set Oct. 5 and 6

From the sidewalk to the catwalk, to the vineyards of Sonoma, punk is once again in fashion.

The 10th annual Fashion in the Vineyards is a two-day showcase featuring San Francisco and local designers and merchants all to benefit the Boys & Girls Club's teen programs including College Bound and Career Launch. The weekend-long event takes place Oct. 5 and 6, and in addition to fashion, there will be live music and dancing at both events.

Presented by Nicholson Ranch Winery on Saturday, Oct. 5, the event features fashions by Helen Lyall and Scott Lyall, with jewelry by Lori Goldman. The ever-popular youth fashion show is sponsored by Sonoma Old School and Half Pint. The models will be made-up by stylists from Catalina’s Skin and Body.

Guests can hear a musical performance by Hilary Wicht and Cliff Goldmacher during the receptions as they enjoy an variety of heavy appetizers prepared by Lombardi’s Catering. Post-show entertainment will be provided by Loosley Covered, a popular rock cover band.

Saturday’s event begins at 5:30 p.m. and tickets are $175.

On Sunday, Oct. 6, the action heads over to Gundlach Bundschu Winery and features fall fashions from local designers and retailers. Guests will get a sneak peak at Athleta’s new women’s athletic line. Goode Rider, Nomad Chic, Perle, Studio 635, the Loop and Sister's Consignment Couture will also be featured in the show. Stylists at Peace ‘N Beauty will be doing hair and make-up.

Guests will have lunch from Gott’s Roadside food truck and dance to the tunes of the Bay Area ’80s cover band, Pop Rocks. Sunday’s event takes place noon to 4 p.m. and tickets are $100.
