Gail (Robbins Kushner) Kleeberg

Gail (Robbins Kushner) Kleeberg of Sonoma, CA, died peacefully in her sleep on August 28th. Born 1926 in Miami Beach, Gail grew up in Rockaway, New York, graduated from New York University and lived most of her life in South Florida. Gail was a strong and remarkable lady who enjoyed life, loved her family and friends, and will be missed by many.Gail is survived by her husband and good friend from her youth, Felix Kleeberg (who is the only person who knew her true name) and was predeceased by her first husband, Dr. Daniel Kushner. Gail also is survived by her children, Debbie, Luke (Jennifer), Daniel (Kate), David, Susie (Dennis Tapiero), and grandchildren, Heather (Eric Grimmer), Daniel,  Jason,  Andy, Kristen, Michael, Ashley (Ben),  Lindsey, Sheridan, Nicole and Dani Tapiero, her former daughters  in law Marsha and Joan, her stepchildren Richard (Ellie) Kleeberg and Wendy (Dick Alexander) and many friends.Special thanks to Dr. Verducci and the wonderful staff at Sonoma Valley Hospital who cared for her during her final illness.The family is planning a private celebration of Gail’s life later this month. Arrangements cared for under the direction of Duggan’s Mission Chapel, Mission Cremation Service.
