Frank Ronald Alioto

Frank Ronald Alioto, 78, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014, in Sonoma. He was born in San Francisco, on March 16, 1935, to the late Inez and Frank Alioto.

Frank graduated from Galileo High School in 1953. He married Carolyn Baisa on Feb. 21, 1970, and was a Sonoma resident for 15 years.

At age 22, he took over his father’s auto body shop, Alioto’s Garage.  He ran this successful business for over 50 years until succeeding it to his sons, Matt and Chris. Frank was a beloved husband, father and grandfather.

Frank is survived by his wife, Carolyn Alioto, of Sonoma; and his two sons, Matt (Mia) Alioto, of Hillsborough and Chris (Patricia) Alioto, of San Anselmo.  He is also survived by his five beloved grandchildren, Marcello, Santino, Enzo, Siena and Mila Alioto.

He will be missed.

Funeral services will be held at St. Peter and Paul’s Church 666 Filbert St., in North Beach, San Francisco on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, his family would prefer a donation, made in his name, to Friends In Sonoma Helping (707-996-0111) or the charity of your choice.
