Film fest seeks hosts, volunteers

The 28th Wine Country Film Festival is right around the corner, Sept. 17 – 21, and organizers are looking for hosts for the visiting filmmakers.

Hosting filmmakers is a rich experience and many hosts form friendships that last years. Anyone who can host a filmmaker, contact Barry Gordon at barryg@me.com. Hosts receive two VIP Passes good for all films and events.

Taking place in select venues in Glen Ellen and Kenwood, there will be numerous special events complementing the film program,  and local passes are on sale at $85 until Sept. 1.

Aubrey Stucker of Kenwood is the festival’s volunteer coordinator. She is doing her internship with WCFF to gain experience with event planning, marketing and film. Anyone who has time to volunteer during or several weeks before the film festival, contact Stucker at aubmae@gmail.com or call the office at 935-3456.

There will be a volunteer meeting in Kenwood Sunday, Sept. 7. Contact Stucker for time and location.
