Farrugia to head Nelson Family of Companies

Donna Farrugia, former executive director of Robert Half’s the Creative Group, has been appointed CEO of the Nelson Family of Companies, effective Sept. 9.

Farrugia, an accomplished executive with more than 30 years of marketing, business development and management experience, will focus her efforts on keeping Nelson at the forefront of an ever-expanding staffing and compliance market.

Prior to working for the Creative Group, the Robert Half brand specializing in interactive, creative and marketing solutions, Farrugia served as a senior vice-president at Robert Half International and, before that, the global services marketing manager for 3M.

The move to Nelson was a natural progression for Farrugia, a leader who shares Nelson’s values and is committed to identifying innovative strategies to advance the way staffing services are delivered while maintaining the honest and client-centric way Nelson has always done business.

Farrugia said, “I’m extremely pleased about my new role with Nelson. This is a progressive company that has thrived for more than four decades by embracing change and innovation while using sound practices and maintaining an unwavering adherence to client loyalty.”

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Farrugia is a sought-after presenter at industry events such as the HOW Design Conference, the American Advertising Federation National Conference and the American Marketing Association’s International Collegiate Conference. She has also delivered webinars for the American Advertising Federation and Graphic Artists Guild and has contributed articles on career-related topics to various publications.

“When we undertook the search for a new CEO,” said Craig S. Nelson, former CEO, “we had high expectations and requirements for the role. It quickly became obvious that Ms. Farrugia would meet and exceed them.

“We have the utmost confidence in her abilities and look forward to the many ways in which Nelson – and our clients and staff – will benefit from her leadership.”
