Etheridge ‘re-added’ to Cohn Fall Festival

Well, she was never really off the bill, but after some back and forth with their management, no one was really allowed to talk about it until now. But now the line-ups for the 2014 B. R. Cohn Charity Fall Music Festival are official. Melissa Etheridge, performing solo, will be headlining the Saturday, Sept. 20, show, along with the Wallflowers, Los Lonely Boys, John Waite, of the Babys, Paul Barrere, Fred Tackett and Kenny Gradney of Little Feat and the Curly Wolf.

Sunday, Sept 21, the acts are Peter Frampton, Huey Lewis and the News, Los Lonely Boys, John Waite, Paul Barrere, Fred Tackett and Kenny Gradney of Little Feat and the Curly Wolf.

John Waite will also be performing at the auction fundraising dinner on Friday, Sept. 19. Tickets are available now at brcohnfallfestival.org or in the winery tasting room.

The Rockin Heart Hoedown, formerly Cur-Ville, held in Kenwood is looking for a number of volunteers for the Saturday, Aug. 16, show.

The Annex Wine Bar welcomes the Bee Rays tonight, Aug 1, for a 7:30 p.m. show. Saturday, Aug. 2, it’s Mark Dennis and Friends playing rock and folk covers. Showtime is also 7:30 p.m. There is no cover but the venue is 21 and over only.

Burgers and Vine presents the Whiskey Thieves on Friday, Aug. 1, playing original rock and blues, kicking off at 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, it’s Driven playing original rock, also at 9:30 p.m. There is no cover either night.

Sebastiani Winery and Vineyards presents the Hellhounds playing Chicago and delta blues tonight, Aug. 1, in the tasting room for a 6 p.m. show. The venue is child- and dog-friendly, and there is no cover. No outside alcohol, including beer is allowed, per ABC regulations.

Palooza Gastropub in Kenwood presents 3 Friends tonight, Aug. 1, for a 7 p.m. show. Sunday, Aug. 3, it’s “Sangria Sunday” with a show from Chris Hanlin, playing rock and roll. That show kicks off at noon.

The Erik James Tasting Room has music tonight, Aug. 1, with Caroline Dahl, Tim Eschliman and Bowen Brown kicking off at 7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, it’s Macy Blackman’s Praline Trio, also for a 7 p.m. show. There is no cover either night, but there is a $10 minimum.

HopMonk Tavern Sonoma has Benjamin Winter and the Make Believe playing “newish” folk music on the beer garden stage today, Aug. 1, for a 5 p.m. show. Later, on the tavern stage, it’s Full Chizel playing acoustic rock at 8:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, the beer garden stage welcomes Brian Keith Wallin playing blues for a 1 p.m. show, later that night, the tavern stage has the Hellhounds playing blues for an 8:30 p.m. show. Sunday, Aug. 3, it’s an afternoon show on the beer garden stage at 1 p.m. with the Gypsy Jazz Caravan playing jazz. There is no cover and the shows are family-friendly.

Funky Fridays continue at Sugarloaf Ridge State Park tonight, Aug. 1, at 6:30 p.m. with The Blues Pirates. Members of the band are Merica Green-Alexander on lead vocals, Val Cordova on lead vocals and bass, Mark Davis on bass, keys, guitar and vocals, Joe DeBenedetti on drums and vocals, Rob Freguletti on lead guitar and vocals and David Schrader on saxophone and keys. The Epicurean Connection presents Allison Harris tonight, Aug. 1, for a 7:30 p.m. show. Saturday, Aug. 2, it’s Keady Phelan for a 7:30 p.m. show. Sunday, Aug. 3, it’s an early start for Marcus Owens, kicking off at 1 p.m.

The Plaza Bistro welcomes The Noam Lemish Trio tonight, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. There is no cover for the show.

The Cork Pullers will be at the Relay for Life on the Sonoma Valley High School Field on Saturday, Aug. 2, kicking off at 11 a.m.

Murphy’s Irish Pub has Andrew Freeman on Saturday, Aug. 2, kicking off at 8 p.m. There is no cover. Sunday, Aug. 3, it’s the pro jam with the Vanguard Jazz Ensemble, starting at 1 p.m.

Della Santina Trattoria welcomes soprano Anastasia Encarnacion and mandolinist David Garelick performing Italian Arias and Neopolitan songs tonight, Aug. 1, starting at 8 p.m.

B. R. Cohn Winery welcomes solo acoustic guitarist Jason Bodlovich to the tasting room lawn on Sunday, Aug. 3, for a free show that starts at noon.

Gundlach Bundschu Winery presents Real Estate on the hillside lawn on Saturday, Aug. 2, for a 6 p.m. show. Tickets are available at the winery or at the door.

The El Verano Inn has Tilted Halos, formerly Fallen Anjel, on Saturday, Aug 2, for a show that starts at 8:30. Opening the night will be Wildflower Weed. There is no cover.

The Schellville Grill has honky-tonk country music from Train Wreck Junction on Sunday, Aug. 3, kicking off at 3 p.m.

The Blue Moon Salon has karaoke on Saturday, Aug. 2, starting at 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug 3, the saloon presents the continuation of the blues jam, starting at 9:30 p.m. There is no cover.

The Jami Jamison Band will be at Legends Sports Grill in Santa Rosa tonight, Aug. 1, at 5:30 p.m.

The Cork Pullers will be at the First Street Cafe in Benicia tonight, Aug. 1, starting at 7:30 p.m.
