The music of Johnny Cash is coming to Sonoma on Friday, Feb. 10 for a one-night-only gig by cover band Cold Hard Cash at the Presentation School.

Fronted by guitarist and singer Merle Travis Peterson, the line-up includes long time member Fel Torres on drums and John Sporman on double bass. The Cold Hard Cash Show features classic Cash songs from the Sun and Columbia Records catalogs as well as Cash’s modern American recordings.

The band has performed on hundreds of stages with artists like Eric Church, Charlie Daniels, Lonestar, Eddie Money and Los Lobos. The band has also performed on “The Late Show with David Letterman.”

“This band was so popular last year that we just had to have them back in Sonoma,” said Presentation School head Scott Parker. “The Cold Hard Cash Show appeals to young and old, country and pop fans and they have a big following around the U.S. It’s going to be a fun night. Everyone 21 and over is welcome.”

The show begins at 8 p.m. and Parker said that there will be drinks for sale.

Tickets are available at the door at 20875 Broadway for $35 or at presentationschool.org.
