Holidays Along the Farm Trails fun includes fresh-cut Christmas trees, hands-on DIY gift workshops and fresh-from-the-source ingredients for holiday meals at various farms, wineries, breweries and cideries. Friday, Nov. 16 to Sunday, Jan. 6
Located inside the grounds of the Napa Expo on Third Street between Soscol Avenue and Silverado Trail, the outdoor ice rink features 6,300 square feet of real ice. It is open to all ages, offering daily recreational ice skating, including free skate rental. Napa on Ice also offers parties, private ice time and special events. Saturday, Nov. 17
The 7th Annual Holiday Make-In will take place at the Sonoma Valley Museum of Art from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Families can visit the museum for a day of arts and crafting, all designed to inspire creative ideas for a handmade holiday.
Lighting of the Historic Sonoma Plaza will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. and kick-off the annual 'Holidays in Sonoma' celebrations. The Plaza will be decked with more than 150,000 holiday lights, strung across 8 acres. The Native Sons of the Golden West will be pouring beer and wine to raise funds for Speedway Children's Charities.
Sunday, Nov. 18
Marine Corps. Toys for Tots event at Schellville Fire Station. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., bring an upwrapped toy and receive a prize. BBQ lunch will be served.
Thursday, Nov. 22
The annual 5K Turkey Tot to benefit Meals on Wheels in Sonoma is scheduled to take place at 8 a.m. on Thanksgiving day at Batholomew Park Winery. Suggested donation of $10-$25. Arrive early to register, have a cup of coffee and a muffin.
The annual free, community Thanksgiving dinner in Sonoma starts at 3 p.m. and runs until the food runs out. Sonoma Valley Veterans Memorial Building at 126 First St. W.
Friday, Nov. 30 to Sunday, Dec. 16
The family-friendly French-American circus "Yesterday" by Cirque de Boheme will be on stage at Cornerstone Sonoma. Acrobats, aerialists, mime, jugglers and more. There are three shows a day on the weekends at 1, 3 and 5 p.m. Visit cirquedeboheme.com for details.

Chateau Sonoma at Cornerstone is hosting a Meet the Makers Holiday Marketplace from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 24. There will be live music and holiday shopping.
Wednesday, Nov. 28
The annual G3 Holiday Marketplace and Coat Drive will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ramekins. Tickets are $15 and include a glass of wine, bites and a shopping marketplace. G3sonoma.com.

'Transcendence's Broadway Holiday Spectacular' is onstage at the Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa. The all-ages show features holiday favorites, dance numbers and Broadway show tunes. The show stars Broadway performers from 'Wicked,' 'Mary Poppins' and 'Mamma Mia!' Tickets are $39-$89 at www.BroadwayHolidayShow.com.
Saturday, Dec. 1
13th Annual Lighting of the Snowmen will take place at Cornerstone Sonoma from 4 to 8 p.m. with a festival featuring music, kids crafts, wine and beer tasting, warm drinks, food, an appearance by Santa and a dramatic lighting ceremony with hundreds of snowmen arranged into a creative and stunning scene, creating a winter wonderland. Parking will be available at Cornerstone (until the lots are filled) and then at the Sonoma Valley Airport, located next to Cornerstone (shuttle service will be provided). Admission to the festival is free and there is a $10 parking donation to charity.
Cookies and Milk with Santa will take place from 10 a.m. to noon at the Sonoma Valley Woman's Club (574 First St. E.). The event is hosted by Tracy Reynes of Terra Firma Global Partners, Mangiantini Construction, Gary Umholtz of Guaranteed Rate Mortgage and photographer Peter Lyons. Kids will get to meet Santa, have their picture taken and give him their Christmas lists which they can drop off in the North Pole Express mail box. Families are asked to bring a non-perishable food item for FISH or a toy for the Sonoma Valley Holiday Program.
The Sonoma Valley Mothers Club Holiday Party is open to all and runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at La Luz Center, 17560 Gregor Street. There will be lunch, pictures with Santa, music, fun for kids and a raffle. Tickets to the all-ages fundraiser are online at http://sonomaholidayparty.eventbrite.com.
A Glen Ellen Stroll will take place around downtown Glen Ellen from 2 to 6 p.m. Hosted by the Glen Ellen Block.
