Coffis Brothers play the Reel in Sonoma

Young Santa Cruz band rolls into town July 14|

The Santa Cruz-based band the Coffis Brothers & the Mountain Men offers up a blend of folk, blues, R&B and rock. Their near-constant touring throughout California since 2010 and elsewhere has earned them devoted fans.

The young band consists of Jamie Coffis (vocals, keyboard) Kellen Coffis (guitar, harmonica), Kyle Poppen (guitar), Mason Hutchinson (bass) and Henry Chadwick (drums).

Their debut eponymous full-length album was released in 2011, and was followed by 2012’s “Waiting For You” EP and 2014’s “Wrong Side of the Road.”

Howard Sapper of the Reel describes the Coffis Brothers as delivering a show that’s one part Avett Brothers and one part early Neil Young.

The show is at 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 14. Tickets are $7 to $20.
