Summer screening at Sweetwater in Sonoma

‘Please Stand By’ will be shown outdoors under the stars|

“Please Stand By” is a film about a young autistic woman who runs away from her caregiver in an attempt to submit her manuscript to a “Star Trek” writing competition. The movie stars Dakota Fanning and Toni Collette.

The film will be screened in Sonoma at Sweetwater Spectrum, courtesy of the Sonoma International Film Festival, at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 8.

Wine, beverages and popcorn will be served.

Doors open at 8 p.m. to tour the facility prior to a short film beginning at 8:45 p.m. and the feature film at 9 p.m.

“Sweetwater Spectrum is the perfect Sonoma site to feature this film,” said Sweetwater director Kory Stradinger.

Bring a blanket or low chair to be comfortable outdoors.

Run time of film is 90 minutes.

Sweetwater Spectrum is located at 369 Fifth St. W.
