New environmental documentary to premier in Sonoma

‘Dirt Rich’ opens at the Sebastiani on May 21.|

The new environmental documentary, “Dirt Rich,” is screening at the Sebastiani Theatre on Monday, May 21.

Through the exploration of “geo-therapy strategies,” the film shines light on what are known as “carbon draw downs” as the most viable solution for reversing the effects of global warming in a timely manner.

Through regenerative agricultural practices, reforestation of abandoned land, protection and restoration of carbon rich wetlands and keystone species, “Dirt Rich” argues that implementing these strategies will return the Earth’s atmosphere to safe levels of carbon while growing soil.

The film is a joint presentation of the Sonoma Ecology Center and Pacific Biochar.

Tickets are a $20 donation, which includes one drink. Call 996.9756 for tickets and information.
