Comedy show on March 24 benefits Restorative Resources

A benefit evening of standup comedy|

Timed for the March for Our Lives, a planned demonstration of student support for gun control, scheduled to take place on March 24, in Washington, D.C. and throughout the U.S. following the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting, a performance on March 24 at the Laugh Cellar will benefit Restorative Resources in Santa Rosa.

The performing comics are Paco Romane and Priya Prasad and DJ Lady Char will be providing the music for the dance party.

The purpose of the local nonprofit, Restorative Resources, is to cultivate healthy relationships and heal harms through circle-related practices of deep listening, honest sharing and personal responsibility. According to the nonprofit’s website, this process creates a safe, supportive space for children to learn core values of respect, accountability and the importance of acting from a position of empathy and understanding.

The event will unfold with a comedy show from 7 to 8:15 p.m., followed by mingling, networking and lounge time from 8:15 to 9 p.m., and dancing from 9 to 11 p.m. A silent auction starts when the doors open at 5 p.m. and ends at 9 p.m. The events takes place at the Laugh Cellar at 5755 Mountain Hawk in Santa Rosa.
