KQED is taking its show on the road. The NPR and PBS Bay Area affiliate is planning a new series of in-depth, live broadcasts titled “Forum on the Road” to celebrate the 25th anniversary of “Forum” host Michael Krasny.

The series is slated to visit several cities in the Bay Area. The Luther Burbank Center for the Arts in Santa Rosa has been tabbed to host “Forum on the Road: Santa Rosa” at 8:30 a.m., Friday, April 6.

North Bay resident and “Forum” Friday host, Mina Kim, returns to Santa Rosa six months after wildfires ravaged the area to reflect and look forward with the residents, artists, reporters, and others who are rebuilding their communities in the wake of destruction.

The two-hour live event offers an inside look at how the KQED produces the daily call-in program that presents balanced discussions of local, state, national, and world issues as well as in-depth interviews with leading figures in politics, science, entertainment, and the arts.

Admission is free, but registration is required. Tickets are not available through Luther Burbank Center for the Arts.
