That’s a Wrap

It’s the season’s final weekend for the bright lights of Transcendence Theatre Company, whose cast will dazzle you with musical razzle under a canopy of summer stars. Showcasing Broadway song and dance under a yellow moon, it’s summer’s last call for romance.

Friday-Sunday, Sept. 8 to 10, 7:30 p.m. Winery Ruins, $45

Rousing Roadshow

You’ll be sorry if you don’t catch it before it’s gone… the astoundingly uncommon delight that is the Traveling Spectacular. A surrealist vaudeville experience inspired by the dreams and dust of a bygone age, it will — like dreams or dust — vanish soon.

Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 9 and 10, 2 p.m. Cornerstone, $20

Birds, Bats and Beasts

Browse dozens of exhibits, pet friendly beasts at the pop-up zoo, and watch experts handle predatory creatures at the Wine Country Nature and Optics Festival. Organized in conjunction with Sonoma Birding, it’s a one-stop-shop for naturalists of all stripes.

Saturday, Sept. 9, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sonoma Barracks, Free.

Totally Crush It

Want to learn how grapes morph from cluster to glass? Sonoma Valley Crush is prepared to school you. Get your hands (or maybe feet) dirty, meet legit wine makers, and learn to wield a refractometer like a boss.

Friday-Sunday, Sept. 8-10, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. $35-50
