Country Summer sets Sonoma County Fairgrounds lineup

Who’s headed to Santa Rosa for the area’s biggest country music fest?|

Country Summer, Northern California's biggest country music festival, runs June 16 to 18 at Sonoma County Event Center at the Fairgrounds at 1350 Bennett Valley Road.

Country Music Association award-winner Thomas Rhett, headlines the Chevy Silverado Stage on June 16. Crowds will hear hits from his newly released Tangled Up Deluxe album, including his new single 'Star of the Show.' His chart-toppers include 'Die a Happy Man,' 'Crash and Burn' and 'T-Shirt.'

Darius Rucker, with four solo albums as a country artist to his credit, headlines on June 17. On Southern Style, 'I wanted to bring out the way I live, the way my friends live and all the things that are important to us,' Rucker said. His three previous albums all topped the Billboard Country Album chart, spinning off six No. 1 singles.

Justin Moore and Randy Houser both have top billing on June 18. Moore, 'a little bit rowdy, a little bit sentimental and a whole lotta roughneck,' is a platinum-selling entertainer with six No. 1 singles and three No. 1 albums. Houser, described by Rolling Stone Country as 'one of country music's biggest voices,' has had three consecutive hits – 'How Country Feels,' 'Runnin' Outta Moonlight,' and 'Goodnight Kiss,' his first No. 1 as a songwriter.

In addition to Rhett, the Friday, June 16, lineup includes Maddie & Tae, Michael Ray, William Michael Morgan and Ned LeDoux.

In addition to Rucker, the Saturday, June 17, lineup includes Montgomery Gentry, A Thousand Horses, Aaron Watson and Clare Dunn.

In addition to Moore and Houser, Cam, a hot new artist who received a 2016 Grammy and American Country Countdown nominations, performs on Sunday, June 18. Canaan Smith opens the show.
