“Wine, Words & Warm Socks” on Tuesday, Jan. 17, is a celebration of four local authors. There’s also a little goodwill in the mix.

The event is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Vintage House in Sonoma. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Attendees are encouraged to bring a pair of men’s or women’s socks to donate to Friends in Sonoma Helping.

Judy Baker will talk about “Three Actions that Help Authors Sell More Books,” while Judy Reyes will give a “Social Media Tip du Jour.” The two women have launched the Book Marketing Mentor, a new company offering marketing consulting services for authors.

The featured authors on Jan. 17 include Patti Williams, “The Sound of My Soul”; Judy Altura, “Parking on the Upper Moon”; Bonnie Lee, “Taxpertise for the Creative Mind”; and Catherine Anne Held, “Delia’s Book: Guidance for Cancer Healing.”

Wine educator Peg Melnik will lead a mini-class and tasting. Melnik is a wine educator with Cruise Ship Centers in Petaluma.
