Live music to celebrate Halloween in Sonoma

You can dance off that candy at any one of these venues in town.|

Beyond trick or treating, there are always some good shows in celebration of Halloween in Sonoma.

The El Verano Inn has its annual Halloween punk rock show on Saturday, Oct. 29, that will feature Fang, Modern Enemy, the Quitters-Noma Punx, Speed Wobble and Losing Teeth, kicking off at 8 p.m. All attendees in costume get in without the cover charge.

B&V Whiskey Bar and Grille has dueling DJ’s on Saturday, Oct. 29, for the “Nightmare on the Plaza” featuring DJ Cal and DJ Isak. There will be cash prizes for costumes, games and a photo booth. The night kicks off at 9 p.m.

Annex Wine Bar has “It’s a Dead Man’s Party” with “Madam” Lynne O and her Fiendish Friends, on Saturday, Oct. 29, featuring “Maniac” Michael Lipuma, “Wolf” Manny, Jeffro “Vampire” Hunter, Catarina and Julie “Gouly.”

The event kicks off at 7:30 p.m. and there is no cover but food donations for the Sonoma Overnight Support shelter are encouraged.

Rossi’s 1906 Roadhouse is signing off big for its two-month hiatus and reconfigure, with a Halloween double-header on Saturday, Oct. 29.

The night kicks off at 8 p.m. with Siouxie and the Banshees tribute band VooDoo Dolly, followed at 9:45 p.m. with Loosely Covered. There will be the “Monster Mash Soul Train Dance Off-Costume Contest” at 11 p.m. along with prizes and other surprises. Reservations are recommended.
