Sonoma County's original Toy and Comic Con is coming back strong for its fourth year this weekend.

The Saturday, Sept. 24 event is expected to be bigger than previous years with 200 plus toy and comic dealers in attendance as well as movie cars, a cosplay competition, live action role-playing, a video game room, panels and Q&As, live wrestling from SPW and a lego free play area.

The Santa Rosa/North Bay Comic Toy and Comic Con geek-fest is fashioned after the hugely popular San Diego Comic-Con. Events like this one have increasingly become promotional platforms for Hollywood blockbusters and toy manufacturers.

The convention draws thousands and features the works of local comic book artists, rare toy collections, horror film actors, panels, costume contests and merchants selling cards for collectible card games.

Special guests this year include Vincent M. Ward from 'The Walking Dead,' Catherine Sutherland of 'Power Rangers,' Phil Lamarr of 'MadTV' and 'Futurama,' voice-actress Veronica Taylor from 'Pokémon.'

The convention takes place on the Sonoma County Fairgrounds at 1350 Bennett Valley Road in Santa Rosa.

The entrance is $15 admission at gate. The convention runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
