Dunbar continues melodrama tradition

The 24th annual Dunbar Elementary School fifth grade production of “Dastardly Deeds at Yoursin Mine, or, Yukon Take it With You” will take place this weekend.

The performances are held on an outdoor stage under the oaks at the back of campus at 11700 Dunbar Road in Glen Ellen.

The family-friendly melodrama comes complete with sound effects, vintage costumes, slap-stick antics, a twisting plot line, sign gals, sound effects, rubber chickens and lots of audience participation.

According to Dunbar officials, director Kate Kennedy brings out the best from these kids, it’s a tradition not to be missed.

Tickets available at the door are $10 for adults, $5 for children or a $25 family package. Doors open at 5 p.m. and the shows start at 6p.m. on Friday, May 27, Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29.
