The San Francisco-based Margaret Jenkins Dance Company will perform a new work, “Site Series (Inside Outside),” at Jack London State Historic Park’s winery ruins from 5 to 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 21.

Designed to be shown in unconventional spaces and redesigned specifically for this lush and expansive outdoor setting, “Site Series” will begin with a prologue around the winery ruins culminating in a 40-minute performance within the ruins, with the backdrop of Sonoma Mountain at dusk.

According to MJDC, it will be a “completely new and exciting way to witness the work” of the company.

The duets, trios and quartets, with the audience on all four sides of the action, will allow the audience an up-close and personal experience with the dancers.

Guests will have the opportunity to speak with the artists after the show.

Tickets are $50 and should be purchased in advance.

Come early and enjoy a picnic before the show. If you would like to purchase a pre-made picnic, you can order one at Glen Ellen Village Market to pick up before the show. Order 24 hours in advance. Golf cart transportation will be provided for guests needing assistance to the winery ruins.
