A night of comedy in Sonoma

Matt Lieb throws the punchlines ?Saturday at Murphy's|

Matt Lieb is headlining an evening of stand-up comedy on Saturday, Nov. 28 at Murphy’s Irish Pub.

Lieb is a comedian, writer, actor and one-man cover band. He was named one of the “Top Five SF Comedians” by the San Francisco-blog Courting Comedy. The website Social Underground called him “a guy that can make you laugh in just about every medium... I expect him to be in a television show that doesn’t suck within a few years. Maybe a Netflix special.”

Lieb has opened for Jeff Ross, Rory Scovel, Gilbert Gottfried, W. Kamau Bell, and Third Eye Blind. He writes for Filmdrunk and Yahoo! series “Broken News Daily.” He is a five-time performer at SF Sketchfest and has also performed at the 10,000 Laughs Comedy festival, the Santa Cruz fringe festival, and the S.H.I.T.S & Giggles Comedy Festival in Arcata, California.

The night of comedy also features Samantha Gilweit and Adrian McNair.

Gilweit is a single mother, writer, and comedian based in Oakland. Her comedy has been described as personal, clever and fearless. She has performed at the Punch Line in San Francisco and other venues all over the Bay Area and Los Angeles. ?This year, Samantha was invited to compete in the 39th San Francisco International Comedy Competition.

McNair is a San Francisco/Bay Area-based stand-up comic. A U.C. Berkeley grad, he has been featured in SF Sketchfest, hosts the weekly Laugh Function Comedy Showcase in Berkeley and independently produces “Tall Tales” Comedy Night in Oakland.

Tickets to the shows, at 7 p.m. and at 9:30 p.m., are $12 with a two-item minimum.
