‘War of the Worlds’ comes to Oakmont

Silver Moon Theater is bringing Orson Welles’ famous 1938 radio broadcast, “The War of the Worlds” to the Quail Inn in Oakmont.

The dinner theater performance begins at 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19.

Said director Nellie Cravens, “We’ll recreate Orson Welles’ famous broadcast of 1938, when late-tuners-in believed that what they heard was real life and jammed the highways to escape.” 

The ticket price of $30 includes one two-course dinner and the radio show.
