Sonoma students honored for their photographs

Several Sonoma Valley High School students entered their photos in the annual Association of Texas Photo Instructors (ATPI) fall contest.|

Several Sonoma Valley High School students entered their photos in the annual Association of Texas Photo Instructors (ATPI) fall contest. This national contest received more than 6000 entries from Texas, California, Kansas, Maryland and Oklahoma.

Several of Andy Mitchell’s photography students were honored, including Megan Brown (honorable mention for Informal Portrait), Jesse Figueroa-Gaona (honorable mention for Beginning Landscape), Anna Stava (third place for Advanced Landscape), Liam Handron (honorable mention for Advanced Environmental Portrait) and Quinnlan Cordero (honorable mention for Advanced Environmental Portrait).

According to Mitchell, SVHS was the only California School recognized with awards.
