The Diamond A Recreation Association will hold its eighth “Collectors’ Car Show on the Green,” Saturday, Sept. 5.

More than 60 cars, new and old, will be on display from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Diamond A Recreation Club, 18843 Spring Drive, Sonoma.

This fundraising event provides an opportunity for car collectors to show off their vintage cars – all makes and models, shined and polished, vying for “best entry” to be determined by votes cast from all attendees.

This fun family day provides the chance to view an extraordinary collection of cars including a 1937 Ford Woodie, a 1946 Chrysler Town & Country Woodie, a 1951 Allard J2X, a 1969 Mercedes 280S, a 1966 Corvette, and so much more. Everyone is welcome. Admission is $10 for those entering a car, $25 for all other adults, $10 for children 7 to 12, and free for those 6 and under.

Tickets include the car show plus a silent auction, a picnic lunch, and entertainment by Bobbie “Spider” Webb & his band.

Pre-registration for car entry and reservations for general guests are required. Contact Bill and Shirley Angeloni by phone at 996-3854 or email at angeloni@vom.com by Aug. 5.

Funds received from this event support the Diamond A Recreation Association in all of its activities, one of which is to support the efforts of FISH, Friends in Sonoma Helping.
