Theatre company's fourth season introduces artist series|

Transcendence Theatre Company’s 2015 season of outdoor Broadway concerts, running June 19 through Sept. 13, features “Broadway Under the Stars” in Jack London State Historic Park and the “Transcendence Artist Series” in various locations throughout Sonoma Valley.

Transcendence’s “Broadway Under the Stars” is an award-winning series of Broadway-inspired concerts featuring performers from Hollywood and New York – artists who come to the Sonoma stage directly from recent Broadway appearances.

More than a standard musical revue, each show weaves well-known Broadway and popular songs into a spectacular themed performance in the open-air 150-year-old Winery Ruins at Jack London State Historic Park.

In addition to its “Broadway Under the Stars,” concerts, Transcendence Theatre Company presents “Transcendence Artist Series,” a collection of one- and two-night concerts featuring individual artists in stunning settings throughout Sonoma Wine Country. From hilltops and vineyards to the Jack London Park Winery Ruins, these intimate performance experiences shine the spotlight on legends such as Ben Vereen to popular Broadway stars like Sutton Foster and current Broadway artists, as well as featuring new works under development by Amy Miller, artist director for Transcendence Theatre Company said, “We’re thrilled to present our fourth season of programming to our incredible audiences. In addition to an expanded season with more performances than ever, we are excited to bring back many of our exceptionally talented artists, as well as introduce the Sonoma community to new artists and work at the forefront of the national theatrical dialogue.”
