Readers’ Books will be celebrating Independent Bookstore Day from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 2, at the store, 130 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

There will be special limited edition books and prints signed by authors and illustrators readers know and love such as Dav Pilkey “Captain Underpants,” and Allie Brosh “Hyperbole and a Half...” along with sweet and salty literary tea towel sets, a Huck Finn river journey map and more.

Organizers are planning an all-day party with literary trivia, food, and special one-day only items for sale.

This is the second annual California Bookstore Day and this year it has expanded nationally to become Independent Bookstore Day.
