Put two critically lauded keyboardists on the same stage and let the notes fall where they may.

That’s likely the thinking behind this weekend’s booking of veteran indie keyboardist Bob Malone and pianist-turned singer/songwriter Trysette this Saturday, March 21, in the Community Center’s Andrews Hall.

Malone has a resume that is literally a mile long. He’s been John Fogerty’s keyboardist, playing on the former-Creedence frontman’s “Wrote a Song for Everyone” album (recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios in London), and has shared billings with Bruce Springsteen, Rickie Lee Jones, the Neville Brothers, Al Green, Dr. John and many others.

Most exciting of all, perhaps, this Saturday Malone shares the stage with a woman whose been called “Australia’s answer to Nora Jones” – the seductive singer-songwriter Trysette.

Trysette is a classically trained pianist who grew up on the northern rivers of Australia while listening to the music of Elton John, Carole King and James Taylor.

With a lyrical blend of the intelligent and the sensual – and no small amount of attitude – Trysette is, in the words of Wings drummer Denny Seiwell, “the real thing.”

Doors open for the show at 7 p.m. with show time on the Rotary Stage at 7:30 p.m.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at svbo.org or at the door if still available.
