The Arts Guild of Sonoma is changing the night of its opening receptions from the first Friday of the month to the first Saturday – and this Saturday, March 7, is the first.

The opening reception will run from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the guild, 140 E. Napa St., Sonoma.

Artists, friends and the community are invited to attend. New guild members Jennifer Whitfield and Jackie Lee will be exhibiting in the March Exhibition as well as longtime Guild members Roberta Alexander, Barbara Aliza, Anji Bartholf, George Dawnay, Irene Guidici Ehret, Zaza Fetterly, Yvonne Giambrone-Martin, Christine Gonzalves, Susan Heeringa-Pieper, Kirk Hinshaw, Carol Larson, Christine MacDonald, Nancy Martin, Brian Martinelli, Bev Prevost, Joan Shepherd and Lyn Swan.

To view the work of these artists go to artsguildofsonoma.com.

And starting in April – and lasting through August – there will be a dedicated wall in the gallery for a silent auction fund-raiser with new original artwork presented each month. Bids will start at $50 and there will be an option to “buy it now.”

Admission is free. The gallery is open Thursday through Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For details, see the guild’s website, email gallery@artsguildofsonoma.org or call 996-3115.
