Elizabeth (Liz) Beatty passed away in Monmouth, Ore., on March 27, 2014, at the age of 92.
She was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Roundup, Mont., to Herman and Antonia Moers. She married John Beatty Jr. in Napa. They had five children.
In addition to working for the state of California for many years, Liz led a very social life. She loved visiting and telling others her interesting and unique life story. Her interests included crossword puzzles and reading, and her grandchildren were her delight. Her dream was to live a long and full life.
Liz is survived by daughters Joan Bohag, of Arizona; and Shirley Hunt of Monmouth, Ore.; sons, Steve Beatty and Byron Beatty, both of Sonoma; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her son, Charles Richard Beatty.
Liz’s life will be celebrated at a gathering to be set this summer.
