Sonoma Ecology Center is hosting its annual Fall Festival from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Sonoma Garden Park.

Main attractions of this year’s event include live music, a juried pie contest, hands-on children’s activities (including scarecrow-making contest, pumpkin painting, and art workshops), Sonoma County Children’s Museum-on-the-Go, tractor rides, lasso lessons, pumpkin patch, educational workshops, animal ambassadors, food sales, harvest market and plant sale – and, of course, the ever-popular straw bale fort.

Sonoma Ecology Center’s annual Fall Festival attracts hundreds of local families each year, with all the proceeds supporting the work of SEC and its operation of the Sonoma Garden Park. The ADA-accessible public park serves as SEC’s outdoor education campus, model of sustainable agriculture and vibrant community gathering place for residents and visitors alike.

Festival admission is waived for all pie contest participants. For general admission, advance tickets are $12 for adults, $5 for children age 6 and up, and are available at brownpapertickets.com/event/454187.

Tickets purchased at the door are $15 for adults and $7 for children. Children 5 and under are free.

Members of Sonoma Ecology Center receive $2 off per person at the door.

The Sonoma Garden Park is located at 19996 Seventh St. E., Sonoma, between Denmark and MacArthur streets.
